MOVED AND PARTS FABRICATED.

TO PROVIDE ENOUGH JUICE FOR THE PLUGS

STi INDIVIDUAL COIL PACKS WERE ADAPTED AND CUSTOM COIL BRACKETS AND CONNECTORS WERE MADE.

MORE FABRICATION AND FITMENT OF TUBING, PULLEYS AND BRACKETS.

INITAL SETUP ON ENGINE DYNO, FINAL ASSEMBLEY OF PULLEYS, BELTS, WATER TO AIR INTERCOOLER,

FUEL LINES AND FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR BEFORE INITIAL START UP AND BREAK-IN.

ENGINE IS OUT GETTING PAINTED, WILL BE BACK SOON TO FINSH TUNING.

THE DYNO WILL BE ABLE TO MEASURE MANY VARIABLES INCLUDING THE TEMPERATURE OF THE WATER

IN AND OUT OFTHE WATER TO AIR INTERCOOLER. THIS IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE THE MORE EFFECTIVE

THE COOLING OF THE INTERCOOLER THE HIGHER THE BOOST WE CAN RUN. SUPERCHARGERS

MAKE A LOT OF HEAT, SO WE WANT TO KEEP IT VERY COOL. WATER TO AIR WILL BE MORE

EFFECTIVE THAN AIR TO AIR INTERCOOLERS AND NOT HAVE HEAT SOAK WHEN THE CAR IS STOPPED.


ENGINE IS BACK FROM PAINT SHOP SO WE CAN PUT IT BACK TOGETHER

AND GET IT BACK ON THE DYNO FINALLY!

"Need more Power, Scotty!"

We are back designing again after running the engine and finding we need to make more changes. The 6 groove pulleys are being changed to toothed pulleys because they slip at 10psi and we are trying to make 20psi.....this is very high for a Supercharger and requires a lot of grab. So we are making new toothed pulleys to handle the job of spinning 20psi. Isn't this what 'Top Fuel' Cars do? Also, we have desided to make the cams even more radical to move the large volume of air we need. We are doing testing on several lifts, and have decided on a 445 lift. This would make it the most radical cam we designed so far! We'll keep you posted as things move along.

Update: We have Power!

Have installed the new cams, upgraded the SC pulley to toothed and fabricating a pulley system to run the alternator and A/C in the car, plus turned the boost up to 25 PSI.

With the increase in boost to 25 PSI, we've more than tripled the Horse Power of the original SOHC engine, from 165hp to over 500hp. Wow! What an increase. We're now making 550hp and 420tq using 25psi and 93 Octane. So with Race Fuel.....who knows where the power will be?
