Custom Performance and Race Clutches and Flywheels

Our Clutch Kits are made for us by the leader in aftermarket performance clutch with 8 stages ( Stage1, Stage2, Stage2+, Stage3, Stage3+, Stage4, Stage5, Stage5+). Our Clutches have a stock pedal feel with clamping power that is suitable for every application. Stage5 performance clutches have been tested behind manual transmission vehicles with more than 1000hp and for less modified daily driven clutches, check out the Stage 1-3. The clutch kits include a high clamp load, quick release pressure plate, corresponding stage disc, bearings and alignment tool.

Made from high carbon steel or specially treated aircraft aluminum for superior rotational integrity and warp resistance, the billet flywheels feature a hardened replaceable ring gear, high strength racing bolt kit and SFI certification. Our flywheels are manufactured to an industry leading .001 inch. The billet steel units provide desired momentum for street, drag and large turbo applications, but weigh less than stock for greater reliability and noticeable horsepower gains. The aluminum flywheels are lighter for better performance at road race/Time Attack and autocross events.

Features an integrally molded carbon kevlar-based, high performance organic lining that offers smooth engagement and excellent life. This lining has an integrally bonded steel backing for strength under high clamp loads and temperatures. Features segmented or full faced pure Kevlar disc with steel backing. This lining features excellent drivability like the stage 1, but offers slightly longer life and higher torque capacity. Stage 2+: Types of Driving:

Features a multi-friction disc in a full faced configuration with carbon semi-metallic on one side and Kevlar on the other. Bridging the gap between stage 2 and stage 3, the 2+ offers drivability and engagement quality characteristic of the stage 2, but with a 15-20% higher torque capacity. The hub is double sprung with spring cover relieves for flexibility and heat treated components for strength and durability. Great for street, drag, autocross, road racing, pulling, rallye and drift.

Features a carbon semi-metallic 6 puck sprung hub disc that has been the leading puck clutch in drivability, life and torque capacity. This unit is designed for street and race cars that require an aggressive but streetable engagement and high torque capacity. The hub is double sprung with spring cover relieves for flexibility and heat treated components for strength and durability. Also available in 3 puck configuration. Great for street, drag, road racing, pulling, rallye and drift.

The flagship stage for a high powered street or race car that requires a manageable and friendly engagement, the stage 3+ features a carbon semi-metallic full faced material that offers unparalleled life, friction co-efficient and drivability characteristics in one single package. The hub is double sprung with spring cover relieves for flexibility and heat treated components for strength and durability. Great for street, drag, drift, autocross, road racing, pulling, rallye and drift.

Stage 4: Types of Driving:
Street, Drag, Pulling, Autocross

This unit is a solid hub version of the stage 3. The hub is solid 8-rivet and the assembly is heat treated for strength and durability. It is available in a 3, 4 or 6 puck configuration. Use the 3 puck for the lightest option or the 6 puck for the smoothest engagement. The 4 puck is a good compromise for both. Street drivable in 6 puck configuration, but not street friendly due to the rigid hub. Best for drag racing, road racing, pulling, rallye and drift.

Stage 5: Types of Driving:

Features a full-metallic disc with the highest possible friction co-efficient. Street drivable but not street-friendly. The hub is solid 12-rivet and the assembly is heat treated for strength and durability. Best for extreme street and drag racing.

Stage 5X: Types of Driving:
All

The Super Twin is for street and track use in cars with extreme horsepower and torque (700-1500 ft lbs tq). The Super Twin offers near-stock drivability, tremendous life expectancy, a no shimming/setup bolt-in installation and maintenance free operation. With all billet construction, these units are smooth and quiet. The units are rebuild-able by SPEC or the end user and replacement components or rebuild services are always available. The super twin is constructed with aircraft grade aluminum and high carbon billet steel milled to an industry leading .001 inch for perfect balance and actuation. Friction is provided by dampened, full-faced carbon graphite discs. Organic, fiber and full metallic options are available. Flywheel and track-spec hardware are included in each kit. Types of driving: street, drag, drift, road racing, time attack, pulling and rallye.

Our billet flywheels are manufactured and developed for specific driving environments and recommended based on how each car reacts to changes in rotating mass. Our flywheels are NOT a one-fits-all lightweight flywheel, though they can be used for an array of driving habits and racing/high performance applications. Manufactured from only the highest quality steel and aluminum, they are the only flywheels on the market manufactured to a .001 machine tolerance, guaranteeing a flat seating surface for the clutch and smooth rotational qualities for perfect balance and extended engine life.

Quaife Front A.T.B. Differential Subaru WRX STI 04-07

The Quaife is great for street driving or racing. Racers don't have to put up with locking mechanisms or spools that tear the steering wheel out of their hands when cornering. Because it behaves like an open differential during ordinary driving, street drivers will have trouble telling it's there until pushing the car's limits. The Quaife has been proven in everything from SCCA Rally to Formula 1. It provides autocrossers with such an advantage, it has become "required" equipment for a winning effort.

In cornering, while accelerating out of a turn, the Quaife biases power to the outside wheel, reducing inside-wheel spin. This allows the driver to begin accelerating earlier, exiting the corner at a higher speed.

The Quaife also controls loss of traction when the front wheels are on slippery surfaces such as ice and snow or mud, providing the appropriate biased traction needed to overcome these adverse conditions. The Quaife Differential provides constant and infinitely variable drive. Power is transferred automatically without the use of normal friction pads or plates seen in other limited-slip designs.

The Quaife's unique design offers maximum traction, improves handling and steering, and puts the power where it is needed most. A definite advantage whether on the track or on the street.

The Quaife is extremely strong and durable and since the Quaife is gear operated, it has no plates or clutches that can wear out and need costly replacement.

06-07 Subaru WRX Limited Slip Differentials

Cusco's performance limited slip differentials can help in a number of ways. During turning, the inner driven wheel experiences less weight and can spin freely preventing you from putting the power down while upsetting the car. An LSD will force the other wheel to spin at the same rate, maximizing traction on power out. During acceleration, a stock LSD can often be too weak to lock both wheels allowing one to spin. Cusco's LSDs will keep both wheels locked firmly in place to keep the car planted while putting down all your power. Cusco offers two different types of LSDs. The Type-RS utilizes springs to absorb some of the initial torque application on the LSD. This makes for a gentler engagement and smoother transitions. Chatter is kept to a minimum and life is extended. Oil change frequency is also reduced. The Type-MZ does not have springs and engages harder than the RS. By switching the number of clutch plates in the unit, the sensitivity can be set. This would be the cost effective choice. 

1 Way - Ideal for FWD and AWD front axles. Activates under acceleration and not on deceleration. When off the throttle, it acts like an open diff allowing for maximum traction in turning and braking. During power on, the LSD engages again ensuring full power is put down.

2 Way - Ideal for RWD cars and AWD rear axles. Ideal for high speed track use and drifting. Activates on both acceleration and deceleration. This is preferable for drifters as the LSD behaves the same regardless of erratic throttle input, and lets you keep the wheels spinning all the way through a corner. Some caution is required as suddenly lifting can unsettle the car.

1.5 Way - Activates under acceleration but not as much during deceleration. Typically the 1.5 way differential is suitable for all types of motorsports driving. With optimized performance during acceleration it carries a lighter lockup on deceleration which is best suited for traditional road racers. Despite the fact that 1.5 way units have slighter lock up on deceleration, many users may still use this cam type for aggressive motorsports such like drifting or low gear auto crossing & gymkhana. FWD vehicles can experience increased stability during braking.

Rear Axles

Description: Rear Axle Upgrade - 900HP. Kit for the WRX Rear conversion is a complete rear system including both axles, hubs and ARP studs. The axles feature 300M bars, chromoly inner CV with spline plug and a bolt-on outer CV with a larger spline. The hubs are made to accommodate the larger spline and are able to accept the factory ABS ring.

Front Axles

Description: 750HP Front Axles. The Front WRX axles are complete axles with chromoly bars, inner and outer CV joints. Please Note: These axles fit the WRX Sedan or Wagon.

Rear Axles

Description: STI Rear Axle Bar Upgrade 800HP. The STi is a very stout car from the factory, the inner and outer CV's are made from a Japanese spec material very close to our 4130 chromoly, but the center bars are made from a brittle lower grade material. What we have made is a custom set of aerospace grade center bars that will fit your stock inner and outer CV. The outer CV is made from Billet Chromoly and the internals are also made from the same high grade material, while using the original spline size to fit the stock hubs. 

Description: STI Direct Bolt-In Rear Axles 800HP. The STi is a very stout car from the factory, the outer CV is made from Billet Chromoly and the internals are also made from the same high grade material, while using the original spline size to fit the stock hubs. Also the inner CV tripod design is changed to a full ball and cage design with a larger radius to the spline plug for added strength. 

Description: STI Axle/Hub System 800HP. The axle/hub system set has been designed for 1000WHP. The system comes with both axles and hubs. Starting with the inner CV it has our billet housings that feature a new special material that is actually stronger than 300M for the spline plugs into the diff. The center bar is larger and also made from the same material. The new outer hubs with this system have 2 wheel bolt patterns for both 04 and 05-07 applications and we even added the ABS mount for those of you that are in need of this system for the street. The hubs have a dual bolt pattern so if you have an 04 and want the larger pattern this will take car of it. 2004-2007 STi ONLY

Description: STI Rear Pro-Level Axle/Hub System (1200HP). The Pro-Level Axle/Hub system set has been designed for 1200WHP. The system comes with both axles and hubs. Starting with the inner CV it has our Ball & Cage type CV and new special material that is actually stronger than 300M for the spline plugs into the diff. The center bar is larger than the 1000HP system (36 instead of 32) and also made from the same material. The new outer hubs with this system have 2 wheel bolt patterns for both 04 and 05-07 applications and we even added the ABS mount for those of you that are in need of this system for the street. 

Front Axles

Description: STI Front Axle Bar Upgrade 600HP. The STI is a very stout car, the front inner and outer CV's are very strong but the bars are not, this is a 300M bar upgrade including both bars, boots, clamps and grease. You will need to take you CV off and put them onto these bars. Be very careful when ordering the bar upgrade the axle from year to year are interchangeable but the internal spline (inside the boot) are different. If you're not sure disassemble the axle and give us the spline counts. The price shown is for a kit with (2) axle bars (4) boots and (8) clamps and enough grease for all.

1-Piece Performance Aluminum Driveshaft for

WRX, STi, Forester XT, Legacy GT, BaJa Turbo

Description: Subaru Aluminum Drive Shafts This is our 3" Aluminum single shaft for all the Subaru platforms. These shafts are in some of the fastest Subaru's around the world including Easy Streets WRX and Big Valleys STI. the shafts do have some clearance issues so the floor will need to recontoured a little (some floor braces flattened along with the floor you must have ¾" clearance all the way around the shaft in every area) these shafts are designed for street use but may also be used for racing, so we need to advise you the shaft has a 600WHP max and a critical speed of 150mph. These shafts have had more than both put into them but these are the recommended limits. This shaft is less than half the weight of the factory 2 piece and by eliminating the hanger will remove the lag the factory shaft has when the hanger moves up and down.

1-Piece Carbon Fiber Driveshaft

02-14 WRX 5-Speed (R160 Rear) and 04-15 STI 6-Speed (R180 Rear)

 

The 1-piece driveshaft for the Subaru WRX STi is a complete 2.370 Carbon Fiber shaft that is approximately 1/2 the weight of the factory 2-piece driveshaft. The 1-piece carbon shaft features larger, replaceable u-joints and can handle about 850WHP and 180 MPH. We had the tubing custom wound with a high Modulus fiber to ensure not on the strength but its small enough to clear everything under the car, all shields plates and covers can be used with out any alteration to the car at all. The ends are made from 6061-T6 aluminum and that shaft weighs a mere 12.2lbs not only will the car feel more responsive but it will also make a noticeable difference on the noise level in the car.

By removing the factory 2-piece shaft and installing a single shaft the car will feel more responsive due to the lighter weight of the shaft and also the fact that the hanger bearing is not moving up and down during acceleration. Available for most popular motor/trans combinations, if you don’t see yours listed, custom shafts are also available.

The SSS is revolutionary patented design that converts the standard H pattern shifting, to a fully sequential shifting mechanism. It is an external attachment for your gearbox, which means there is no gearbox intervention.

Installing the SSS will enable you to:

Basic Info

-The body of the Subaru SSS is placed in the tunnel next to the gearbox.
-The conversion is provided by a series of rods running to the body. One of the rods determines the gear lever position with the other one securing the change of gear.
-The whole mechanism (body, rods etc.) is protected from underneath by the skid plate.
-The SSS consists of a safety lock to avoid shifting into the neutral or reverse gears during shifting into low gears. The neutral and reverse can be only engaged if the safety lock is released.
-The SSS is also equipped with a shifting booster (magnet) which assists in selecting gears faster and easier
A Digital Indicator is supplied to view the selected gear.

The STI 6-Speed transmission was designed to handle the additional torque of a the 280HP STI, as well as the potential race modifications that the car may be subjected too.  Conservative at 280HP, many have subjected this transmission to 500 ft/lbs of torque abuse without suffering failures compared to high failure rate of the WRX 5-speed.  Designed  to address the weaknesses of the standard 5-speed, the 6-speed transmission is split transversely, instead of the longitudinal design of the 5spd. This design greatly strengthens the torsional rigidity of the case itself as well as the shafts and gears.   An added oil pump allows for better lubrication of the gears as compared to the "splash" lubrication system of the 5-speed.
