Lightweight, rigid, and sophisticated in design, these brake systems enable superior brake modulation while improving overall pedal feel to ensure equal distribution of weight transfer when braking. To achieve this proportional brake balance, Rotora?s 2-piece cast aluminum calipers are fine tuned by increasing the clamp load to the optimal level while utilizing the stock master cylinder to retain overall front-to-rear brake bias. Designed and engineered to each specific application, these brake systems comes complete with a set of 2-piece vented drilled and/or slotted oversize discs, pre-assembled calipers (2, 4, or 6-piston), ceramic competition race pads, stainless steel brake lines (D.O.T. compliant), carbon steel mounting brackets (SC45), and all necessary hardware. The BP-10 is an all-new type of metallic composite friction pad compound. It possesses the medium to high temperature range friction characteristics of a metallic compound race pad, with the quieter engagement, lower dust, and positive low temperature response of a street performance pad.

The ability to realize the benefits of these different pad types in one compound provides opportunities for widespread application of this material.

Wilwood's rotors now come in a black coating. This will not affect performance at all. The portion of the rotor that comes in contact with the pad will wear off.

Wilwood's Brake Kit will only work with Wilwood Stainless Steel Lines, the stock lines have a different thread pattern
Sti years 06-07 have the wrong bolt pattern for any Wilwood Kit.

Integrating new brake technology into the design of the kits allows for a kit that highly reduces brake fade and continually cools and refreshes the brake pads surface under braking. These brake systems are designed for easy installation with minimal tools required (in most applications). Ksports extreme lightweight caliper comes in differential bore configuration. It is machined from aircraft quality billet, weighs just over 5lbs. each, and has machined in protection grooves for the bridge tubes. Aluminum pistons, high temperature seals, and stainless steel brake pad wear plates are also standard on each caliper design. The opposed piston caliper design greatly improves pad wear and caliper rigidity over the OEM design. The stainless steel brake lines stop expansion under pressure.

Most applications utilize the 2-piece floating disc assembly, which reduces weight both rotating and unsprung. Wilwood "PolyMatrix" 4 & 6 Piston Front Brake Non-Bedded Pad $140.00

Wilwood friction pads are produced to specific chemical and physical material requirements to meet the high performance demands of racing disc brake systems. Because of the wide range of racing usage (short track, super speedway, dirt, drag) Wilwood has developed specific material compounds to meet specific needs. Experimentation is often necessary to determine the optimal brake pads for an application. Such variables as caliper size, rotor type, rotor operating temperature, race duration, and driving habits all affect brake pad performance. Wilwood high performance brake pads are described in general; your actual selection should combine this information with your own testing and experience.

Brake pad performance is generally measured using its coefficient of friction (cf), i.e. the degree of friction (drag) between the pad and rotor. This friction varies with pad material, rotor material, and operating temperature. The pad descriptions (following the pad configuration drawings) are generally evaluated on the basis of a pad material coefficient of friction variance over a particular temperature range.

NOTE: All Wilwood brake pad sets with a 'K' suffix on the part number are packaged four pads to a box, in axle sets. The diagram on the following page illustrates the outline dimensions of the backing plates and friction material on each type of brake pad.
